The morphology and molecular phylogeny of two freshwater ciliates, Pseudotetrahymena orientalis gen. et sp. nov. Cyclidium paravorax nov., collected from Harbin, Northeast China, were investigated based on live specimens ciliary pattern; the phylogenetic placements inferred SSU-rRNA gene. Pseudotetrahymenidae fam. assigned to order Tetrahymenida Fauré-Fremiet in Corliss, 1956, can be distinguished other families by its membranelle 2 consisting several clusters shape cell. new species C. is similar vorax Pan, 2020 most morphological features except 3, which single-rowed. Phylogenetic analyses gene sequence indicate that lies periphery clade forms an independent, fully supported clade. groups with glaucoma Müller, 1773, supports assignment genus 1773.
