This work studies the chemical composition of leaves plant species Annona exsucca DC. Through phytochemical tests and analysis by high efficiency liquid chromatography coupled to mass spectrometer with electrospray ionization source (LC-ESI-IT-MS/MS) ion trap type analyzer in addition direct infusion experiments (FIA-ESI- IT-MS) it was possible determine classes secondary metabolites present this characterize some these substances, respectively. The results obtained confirmed presence alkaloids, flavonoids, steroids, tannins saponins. While spectrometry allowed characterization alkaloids.

Wild aromatic plants present high intra- and inter-population chemical polymorphisms which are of great ecological economic interest; however, the factors influencing phytochemical diversity remain still unexplored for many species. Here, Teucrium marum L. (Lamiaceae) has been studied, a plant endemic to western Mediterranean islands, very well-known from point view but scarcely investigated regarding that influence its within among populations. The specific aims were to: 1) define composition variability essential oils; 2) determine inter- intra-population variability; 3) evaluate whether elevation, climatic and/or soil substrate determined T. along gradient coastal mountain wild populations on island Sardinia (Italy). Fresh aerial parts randomly collected ten individuals in six different localities Sardinia: three mountainous. Dried leaf samples hydrodistillated using classical Clevenger apparatus obtain corresponding oils. each oil was chemically characterised analyzed by gas chromatography coupled mass spectrometry. Ninety compounds identified: others, two mainly oils studied populations, dolichodial (E)-β-caryophyllene, interest. Statistical analyses showed significant differences clustered following geographical pattern rather than simple or edaphic grouping. Taken together results here shown shed light environmental conditions marum, highlighting clear vs clustering, an relevance, especially potential utilization as environmental-friendly insecticide.
