ABSTRACT Drawing on the ability‐motivation‐opportunity (AMO) theory and resource‐based view (RBV), this study argues that environmental transformational leadership (ETL) enhances both economic performance through green human resource management (GHRM). It also examines moderating role of knowledge in relationship between ETL GHRM. Furthermore, posits big data analytical capabilities (BDAC) strengthen impact GHRM performance. Using a random sampling approach, we collected multi‐respondent from 355 manufacturing firms, incorporating insights first‐level managers top executives. Structural equation modeling was employed as our technique. The findings confirm significantly mediates effect However, contrary to expectations, does not moderate ETL–GHRM relationship. In contrast, BDAC strengthens influence This contributes literature by identifying underlying mechanism (how) boundary conditions (when) which influences firms' outcomes.
