There
is
an
ongoing
debate
about
the
ethics
of
research
on
lifespan
extension:
roughly,
using
medical
technologies
to
extend
biological
human
lives
beyond
current
"natural"
limit
120
years.
At
same
time,
there
exploding
interest
in
use
artificial
intelligence
(AI)
create
"digital
twins"
persons,
for
example
by
fine-tuning
large
language
models
data
specific
particular
individuals.
In
this
paper,
we
consider
whether
digital
twins
(or
doppelgängers,
as
refer
them)
could
be
a
path
toward
kind
life
extension-or
more
precisely,
person
extension-that
does
not
rely
continuity.
We
discuss
relevant
accounts
consciousness
and
personal
identity
argue
that
doppelgängers
may
at
least
help
us
achieve
some
aims
or
ostensible
goods

extension,
even
if
they
count
literal
extensions
our
personhood

Abstract
Recent
developments
in
AI
and
robotics
enable
people
to
create
personalised
digital
duplicates
–
these
are
artificial,
at
least
partial,
recreations
or
simulations
of
real
people.
The
advent
such
enables
overcome
their
individual
scarcity.
But
this
comes
a
cost.
There
is
common
view
among
ethicists
value
theorists
suggesting
that
scarcity
contributes
heightens
the
life
parts
life.
In
paper,
we
address
topic.
We
make
five
main
points.
First,
there
plausible
prima
facie
case
for
threat:
may
undermine
an
human
by
making
us
less
scarce.
Second,
notwithstanding
threat,
role
disputable
always
exists
tension
with
contrasting
tragedy
limits
our
value.
Third,
two
distinct
forms
instrumental
intrinsic
they
contribute
different
ways.
Fourth,
duplication
technology
scarcity,
some
extent,
but
axiological
consequences
highly
variable.
Fifth,

not
affect
actually
heighten
it.

Abstract
In
this
article,
we
explore
questions
about
the
culture
of
trustworthy
artificial
intelligence
(AI)
through
lens
ecosystems.
We
draw
on
European
Commission’s
Guidelines
for
Trustworthy
AI
and
its
philosophical
underpinnings.
Based
latter,
trustworthiness
an
ecosystem
can
be
conceived
as
being
grounded
by
both
so-called
rational-choice
motivation-attributing
accounts—i.e.,
trusting
is
rational
because
solution
providers
deliver
expected
services
reliably,
while
trust
also
involves
resigning
control
attributing
one’s
motivation,
hence,
goals,
onto
another
entity.
Our
research
question
is:
What
aspects
contribute
to
a
responsible
that
promote
justifiable
in
healthcare
environment?
argue
especially
within
devising
governance
support
medical
ecosystem,
considering

fruitful
pointers.
There
should

ways
structures
supporting
nurturing
beyond
mere
reliability.
