Writing with AI: What College Students Learned from Utilizing ChatGPT for a Writing Assignment DOI Creative Commons

To support the integration of AI in education, this empirical study investigated what lessons college students learned from using Generative for writing. We recruited 47 United States a university writing course. Students completed an assignment which they used tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to draft application letter or personal statement. Data were collected survey five open-ended questions about their process, worked, did not work, how better write with AI, and general learned. applied thematic analysis sentiment methods analyze students’ responses. Esta investigación tiene el propósito de analizar las prácticas escritura y reescritura académica que los estudiantes un programa maestría en educación realizan al utilizar herramientas digitales para la elaboración ensayos académicos. This research investigates the stakeholders' perceptions, including teachers and students, in terms of integrating ChatGPT into teaching learning English paragraph writing at Van Lang University (VLU). Employing both qualitative quantitative methods, data were collected from 241 survey respondents ten interviewees.
