To find an accurate and convenient method for analyzing the characteristics of low-temperature oxidation reactions coal, providing a theoretical basis assessing susceptibility coal to spontaneous combustion making precise predictions ignition, this paper selects four types bituminous with similar coalification degrees but significant differences in characteristics. The extrapolated onset point DSC curve is used determine characteristic temperatures coal. A simultaneous thermal analysis/mass spectrometry instrument employed carry out isothermal reactions, while synchronously monitoring changes mass samples, reaction heat, generation gaseous products during process. Additionally, situ infrared spectrometer explore mass-energy balance samples. results indicate that tendency influenced by factors such as content easily oxidizable components their heat release capacity, which prevents temperature from directly determining ease combustion. During stage samples can reach level where maximum intensity reduced 50% within 3-8 min, proportion remaining at 5%-6.5%. dominant oxidative dehydrogenation, producing water, remove approximately 10% hydrogen element. In contrast, decarbonization relatively minor stage, carbon element loss about 1%. chains LJH sample are most broken, exhibiting highest activity. XD has strongest its activity lower than HQL.
