Abstract Fish intake may constitute a significant route by which humans are exposed to metals, especially people who depend on fish as source of protein Alexandrians. Therefore, this study aimed investigate the metal contents in muscles eight commonly consumed freshwater (Tilapia, Catfish, and Common Carp) marine species (Emperors, Groupers, Mackerels, Silver Pomfret, Roving Groupers) collected from local markets located Alexandria City for 1-year calendar year, 2022. Seasonal variations levels tested metals species, with differences between were recorded. Also, Cu, Zn, Fe, Co, Cd all during experiment did not exceed guideline limits, while Ni, Cr, Pb October–May, June–September, February–May 2022, respectively, exceeded permissible limits settled FAO WHO. Additionally, Mackerels Groupers had high-level Mn that European Commission. The accumulation these different relative variation accumulation, Cu was most predominant element Tilapia, Zn Fe Carp, Emperors, Co Tilapia. Consumption high Metal Pollution Index (MPI) value pose potential public health risk. On meantime, calculated values estimated daily intakes (EDI), hazard index (HI), target quotient (THQ) indicated no risk Alexandrians via consumption because they World Health Organization’s acceptable intake.
