Food addiction, night eating, and depression levels alone have been associated with obesity various chronic diseases in university students, but the relationship of these factors has rarely mentioned literature. This research was conducted to determine food status students. The study consisted 1009 (84.2% female, mean BMI 21.93 ± 3.42 kg/m2, 73.0% normal body weight) Research data were collected using a web-based questionnaire, which included personal information form about students' sociodemographic characteristics, nutritional habits anthropometric measurements (body weight, height), Yale Addiction Scale (YFAS), Night Eating Questionnaire (NEQ), Beck Depression Inventory (BDI). Of 15.2% had 8.3% night-eating syndrome, 36.2% moderate depression. Frequency addiction syndrome higher those severe (p < 0.001). A positive correlation found between YFAS, NEQ, BDI scores general population both genders Furthermore, levels, having received psychological treatment, waking up eating at night, level increased likelihood while syndrome. findings made significant contribution literature understanding their each other Multi-center studies effects three are examined together should be on different student populations. Students given training healthy nutrition mental health protection, awareness raised.

Abstract Context Obesity has been associated with changes in cortisol and dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) sulfate concentrations increased stress levels food addiction. Objectives We explored morning salivary DHEA childhood obesity their associations body composition, metabolic profile, addiction, consumption, a cross-sectional study. Methods Children aged 7 to 12 years of both sexes were allocated into 2 groups according mass index-for-age: control group (n = 60) or 98). Anthropometric, serum glucose, insulin, lipid measured. Saliva was collected at different times measure concentrations. Food assessed using questionnaires. Results Lower [1.04 (0.87-1.25) ng/mL vs 1.65 (1.30-2.07) ng/mL, P .002] (6:00 Am: 1.17 ± 0.89 1.45 0.82 nmol/L, 6:30 1.53 0.68 1.83 0.70 7:30 0.72 0.99 1.31 0.94 P-value time < 0.001 .002) observed children compared the control. correlated negatively waist circumference (r −0.20, .05), index-for-age(BMI-Z) −0.21, .01), weight −0.25, .01). showed positive correlation area under curve 0.29, .002). addiction positively 0.21, BMI-Z 0.22, 0.20, total energy intake lipids 0.24, Conclusion lower higher children. These may contribute development chronic diseases over time.

Perceived stress refers to an individual's experience of when encountering a stressor and has been linked behaviors such as overeating unhealthy eating. This cross-sectional study investigated the relationship between perceived levels, food addiction, preferences among adults in Saudi Arabia. A self-administered survey 541 participants was conducted with sample aged 18 years above living Arabia, capturing data on socio-demographic characteristics, modified Yale Food Addiction Scale 2.0, dietary intake using short FFQ, scale. Higher levels were significantly associated younger age, being single, female gender, student status, lower physical activity (P < 0.05). After adjusting for potential confounders, negatively correlated nuts (-0.881, P = 0.005), vegetables (-0.835, 0.006), fruits (-1.453, 0.001). No significant associations observed savory snacks, sweet fast food, or soft energy drinks. In addition, strong inverse association identified addiction low (χ² 38.113, highlights stress, Arabian adult population. Future research should implement longitudinal designs enhance understanding these relationships.
