In this study, a biothiol-sensitive near-infrared (NIR) fluorescent sensor, BDP-CYS, based on coumarin-hemicyanine skeleton, was designed and developed thiol–halogen SNAr nucleophilic substitution. BDP-CYS successfully implemented to ratiometrically monitor endogenous exogenous Cys, Hcy, GSH in living cells as well distinguish between normal cancer cells. Furthermore, the probe utilized detect changes of biothiols drug-induced hepatotoxicity evaluate treatment effectiveness diabetes-associated liver injury vivo. The advantages BDP-CYS's include practical sensitivity, high selectivity, rapidity reaction, stability across range pH temperature conditions, thus introducing new tool better understand roles oxidative stress.
