Achieving highly selective detection of silver (Ag+) and copper (Cu2+) ions is important because their large emissions can cause many diseases. Herein, a new fluorescent probe DGCA (Dansyl-Gly-Cys-Ala-NH2) based on dansyl group modified tripeptide molecule was successfully synthesized. acts as promising for simultaneous Ag+ Cu2+ with Stokes shift (230 nm), which displayed fluorescence enhancement by quenching in 100% aqueous solution. In addition, predominantly exhibited high sensitivity recognition Cu2+, the limit detections were 7.4 nM 5.9 nM, respectively. Furthermore, stoichiometry between Ag+/Cu2+ 1:1 means fluorometric titration, Job's plot, resolution mass spectrometry theoretical calculation. This work explores the self-assembly and optical properties of a novel chiral, aromatic-rich Boc-Phe-Phe dipeptide derivative functionalized with benzothiazole bicyclic ring that forms supramolecular structures. Leveraging well-known self-assembling capabilities diphenylalanine dipeptides, this modified introduces heterocyclic unit significantly enhances fluorescence resulting nanostructures. The derivative's rich aromatic character drives formation structures through self-organization mechanisms influenced by quantum confinement. By adjusting solvent system, nanostructures exhibit tunable morphologies, ranging from nanospheres to nanobelts. nonlinear these self-assembled were studied an estimated deff ~0.9 pm/V was obtained, which is comparable reported for highly triphenylalanine peptide.

Herein, we report a naturally occurring flavonol, quercetagetin 5,6,7,3′,4′-pentamethyl ether (known as marionol), nontoxic fluorescent probe for rapid, sensitive, and selective detection of Cu2+ in water. The interaction between marionol ions is studied by various state-of-the-art spectroscopic techniques such 1H NMR, UV–vis, fluorescence, high-resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS).
