Abstract Background Women who receive a breast cancer diagnosis often have to cope with physical and psychological issues, even some years after treatments. Physical changes negative inner sensations damage body image, leading reduced contact the social relationships due shame increased fear of recurrence. Several interventions been conducted manage psycho‐emotional issues involving bodily emotions. Aims This study aimed propose virtual reality (VR) intervention improve awareness management sensations. Materials Methods Thirteen women participated in design which they were guided focus their attention on three different parts (i.e. arms, chest legs) randomised way. Participants followed light as visual stimulation heard researcher's voice. Results Findings showed that discomfort emotions related significantly decreased VR intervention. Additionally, present anxiety. Accordingly, qualitatively stated being satisfied intervention, considering helpful tool be more focused decrease discomfort. Discussion In conclusion, may implemented promote diagnosis, improving Conclusion Directions for future research clinical implications are given.
