BACKGROUND The landscape of substance use behavior among young adults has observed rapid changes across time. Intensive longitudinal designs are ideal for examining and intervening on in real-time but rely high participant compliance study protocol, representing a significant challenge researchers. OBJECTIVE current evaluated the effect including personalized data dashboard (DD) text-based survey prompt outcomes college students participating 21-day ecological momentary assessment (EMA) study. METHODS Participants (N=91; 67% female, 92% White) were who engaged recent alcohol cannabis use. randomized to either complete EMA protocol with 4 prompts/day (EMA Group) or same one message DD indicating multiple metrics progress study, delivered at randomly selected prompt/day (EMA+DD via micro-randomized design. Study compliance, completion time, self-reported experiences, qualitative responses assessed both groups. RESULTS Levels similar EMA+DD Group had overall faster times, week-level differences weeks 2 3 was marginally more likely perceive compensation level be adequate as less burdensome. Qualitative findings revealed participants perceived that seeing their facilitated engagement. Within Group, providing moment-level did not significantly impact participants’ likelihood completing time particular prompt, exception first day CONCLUSIONS Providing may useful increase engagement, particularly researchers aiming assess health behaviors shortly after is deployed mobile devices.

Abstract LGBTQ+ emerging adults frequently face stressors that heighten their risk of maladaptive coping behaviors, including substance use (SU). However, none bond domains examined this moderated association outcomes. Exploratory analyses indicated pet-related love emotion regulation most strongly correlated suggesting emotional reliance may overlap mechanisms driving No significant associations emerged for co-use. These findings suggest that, while can provide support, it also be such as use; therefore, further research is needed to explore these dynamics context diverse populations, adults. recommendations how veterinarians, practitioners, other professionals support informed safer helps safeguard health well-being

Methods Data were drawn from Centre for Addiction Mental Health Monitor Survey, repeated, population‐based, cross‐sectional telephone survey adults Canada (2001–2019). Participants provided self‐reports during lifetime past 12 months. Male‐to‐female both outcomes each year calculated. Trends these analysed using join point regression. The male‐to‐female ratio decreased 2019 (AAPC [95% −0.7, [−1.0 to −0.4]), unlike (−0.5 [−1.8–0.7]). Discussion Conclusions Our findings suggest use.
