Alcohol-related content (ARC; posts featuring or drinking) posting is also ARC and drinking. However, effects on drinking behavior unexamined. Prior research suggests specificity antecedents (e.g., attitudes, prototypes) matters predicting subsequent behavior. The current study examined which types drinking, posting) most strongly later behavior, respectively. Methods: Adolescents young adults reported (N = 274) were recruited complete two online surveys at baseline 1-month later. Results: Controlling for abstaining, heavy episodic (HED), similarity, only greater was Zero-inflated negative binomial regressions revealed abstaining lower frequency Higher HED likely least one day past month frequency). reporting no consequences. Conclusions: Findings suggest that interventions targeting reductions should aim change whereas be highlighted interventions.
