Si3N4 ceramics and composites stand out for their exceptional mechanical thermal properties. Compared with conventional ceramic forming processes, 3D printing via vat photopolymerization not only ensures high geometric precision but also improves the efficiency strength of green body. Nevertheless, grayish appearance its relatively refractive index can adversely affect photocuring behavior in slurries. The primary objectives focus on enhancing curing performance rheological properties slurries, minimizing defects during post-processing, improving relative density ceramics. Key advancements include slurry optimization matching, biomodal particle gradation surface modification, while integration whisker/fiber additions or polymer-derived strategies enhances In addition, controlling atmosphere heating rate post-processing innovations achieve a more than 95%. This paper introduces mechanisms then summarizes slurries as well debinding/sintering processes. It further highlights ways which different approaches be used to enhance parts. Finally, applications various fields such aviation, aerospace, energy, electronics, chemical biomedical implants are presented point future opportunities challenges.
