Three-dimensional (3D) printing is drastically redefining medicine production, offering digital precision and personalized design opportunities. One emerging 3D technology selective laser sintering (SLS), which garnering attention for its high precision, compatibility with a wide range of pharmaceutical materials, including low-solubility compounds. However, the full potential SLS medicines yet to be realized, requiring expertise considerable time-consuming resource-intensive trial-and-error research. Machine learning (ML), subset artificial intelligence, an in silico tool that accomplishing remarkable breakthroughs several sectors ability make highly accurate predictions. Therefore, present study harnessed ML predict printability formulations. Using dataset 170 formulations from 78 models were developed inputs included formulation composition characterization data retrieved Fourier-transformed infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), X-ray powder diffraction (XRPD) differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). Multiple explored, supervised unsupervised approaches. The results revealed can achieve accuracies, by using leading maximum F1 score 81.9%. FT-IR, XRPD DSC as resulted 84.2%, 81.3%, 80.1%, respectively. A subsequent pipeline was built combine predictions into one consensus model, where found further increase 88.9%. it determined first time benefit multi-modal data, combining numeric, spectral, thermogram data. lays groundwork leveraging existing developing high-performing computational accelerate development.

Digital health technologies hold promises for reducing care costs, enhancing access to care, and addressing labor shortages. However, they risk exacerbating inequalities by disproportionately benefitting a subset of the population. Use digital accelerated during Covid-19 pandemic. Our scoping review aimed describe how related their use were conceptually assessed after pandemic understand strategies policies might support equity. We used PRISMA Extension reviews, identifying 2055 papers through an initial search 3 databases in 2021 complementary 2022, which 41 retained. Analysis was guided eHealth equity framework. Results showed that reported U.S. other high-income countries mainly differences according individual sociodemographic characteristics. Health disparities technology interaction between context implementation more rarely documented. Policy recommendations stressed adoption lens strategy development multilayered intersectoral collaboration align interventions with needs specific subgroups. Finally, findings suggested evaluations wellbeing distribution should inform policies.

Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a chronic metabolic disorder that significantly increases the risk of cardiovascular disease, which leading cause morbidity and mortality among diabetic patients. A central pathophysiological mechanism linking T2DM to complications oxidative stress, defined as an imbalance between reactive oxygen species (ROS) production body’s antioxidant defenses. Hyperglycemia in promotes stress through various pathways, including formation advanced glycation end products, activation protein kinase C, mitochondrial dysfunction, polyol pathway. These processes enhance ROS generation, endothelial vascular inflammation, exacerbation damage. Additionally, disrupts nitric oxide signaling, impairing vasodilation promoting vasoconstriction, contributes complications. This review explores molecular mechanisms by pathogenesis disease T2DM. It also examines potential lifestyle modifications, such dietary changes physical activity, reducing mitigating risks this high-risk population. 3D printing (3DP), or additive manufacturing, has been actively investigated as one of the enabling technologies for impending era personalized medicines. However, existing 3DP do not afford speeds required on-demand production medicines in fast-paced clinical settings. Volumetric is a novel technology that offers rapid speed and overcomes geometric surface quality limitations layer-based vat photopolymerization techniques. Unlike previous technologies, volumetric cures entire desired geometry simultaneously by exploiting threshold behavior process arise due to oxygen-induced polymerization inhibition. In this work, first time, printer was used fabricate drug-loaded printed tablets (Printlets™) within seconds. Six resin formulations were evaluated using printer, each composed poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylate (PEGDA) crosslinking monomer, lithium phenyl-2,4,6-trimethylbenzoylphosphinate (LAP) photoinitiator, paracetamol model drug. Water PEG300 included diluents varying concentrations facilitate drug release. Paracetamol-loaded Printlets successfully fabricated 17 s. Drug release rates could be tuned altering monomer-to-diluent ratio photosensitive resin, with lower releasing faster. The present work confirms suitability products matter Upon further optimization, can enable rapid, fabrication medical devices.
