Abstract The construction of a perfect employment guidance system is an inevitable choice to adapt the current situation in colleges and universities, Internet big data technology provide important support opportunity for this. In this paper, C4.5 algorithm used calculate information entropy gain rate students’ performance employment-related data, realize accurate portrayal portrait higher education students, recommendation based on classification decision tree. Then we design platform student counseling using Hadoop MapReduce software framework. platform’s concurrency good, stress test pass 100%, as shown by results. After application Higher Education Student Counseling Career Guidance Platform, satisfaction job search skills post-test was significantly than that pre-test (t=5.236, P=0.042<0.05), which indicates very effective intervening career planning core strengths. It also found able information, from students can obtain helpful have high level with it. designed paper more efficient services college help them achieve their development goals.
