In this paper, we propose a microstrip antenna that incorporates dual-polarization and bidirectional focusing metasurface (MS) for achieving high-gain transmission in circular polarization (CP) reflection linear (LP) radiation, respectively. Initially, design MS enables independent manipulation of the transmitted CP wave at lower frequency 8.2 GHz reflected LP higher 16.2 GHz, The unit-cell comprises combination an outer bilayered split-ring resonator, along with inner arc-shaped disk resonators, all separated by dielectric substrate. Subsequently, coaxial-fed laminated is designed capable realizing radiation gain approximately 4.9 dBic 4.8 dBi, To improve performance, construct integrated MS. This configuration to achieve peak 13.1 14.6 dBi relative bandwidth 6.79% (at GHz) 13.54% reflective wave, evaluate practicality our proposed design, fabricated measured antenna, both without results obtained from these measurements closely align simulations, thereby validating effectiveness antenna. provides practical solution facilitating high-speed information communication systems.

In this paper, a single-feed microstrip antenna (MA) equipped with transmission-mode focusing metasurface (MS) is proposed to achieve dual-polarization capabilities and superior high-gain radiation performance. The original-feed MA comprises two distinct layers of coaxial-fed tangential patches, enabling it emit circular polarization (CP) wave gain 3.5 dBic at 5.6 GHz linear (LP) 4 dBi 13.7 GHz. To improve the performance MA, transmission MS numerically substantiated. By positioning originally designed focal point MS, we create system capable achieving CP LP radiations significantly higher gains 12.9 14.8 GHz, respectively. Measurements conducted on fabricated closely align simulation results, validating effectiveness our approach. This work underscores significant potential high-speed data systems offers practical solution for enhancing in contemporary wireless communication systems.

In this letter, a wideband circular polarization (CP) metasurface (MS) antenna is proposed, which composed of centrosymmetric structure with mode suppressor and an asymmetric aperture-coupled feed separated by dielectric substrates. Based on the characteristic theory, consisted L-shaped slot microstrip line employed to excite two orthogonal modes, have 90° phase difference obtain CP radiation. Meanwhile, methods been proposed expand bandwidth: one direct suppression decreasing overlap frequency operating nonoperating mode. The other indirect using suppressor. Finally, MS low profile λ 0 × 0.075 at 5 GHz fabricated measured. measured results show that has 3 dB axial ratio bandwidth 45.2% from 4.1 6.5 impedance 41.8% 6.31 GHz, peak gain 7.94 dBic 5.9 GHz.

A vortex beam carrying orbital angular momentum (OAM) is an effective way to increase wireless communication capacity. The existing terahertz (THz) metasurface (MS)-based generator limited operating at a single or two frequency points, and also has wavelength-dependent behavior, thus limiting its application. Here, transmissive MS proposed generate THz beams OAM with different topological charges l = 1 , 2 3 ( + ) under left/right-handed circular polarization (CP) incidence three frequencies. mode purity of the generated all orders greater than 60% CP wave 0.6 THz, 0.857 1.892 respectively.
