Aquaculture is a major source of protein in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), region experiencing rapid population growth, changing lifestyles and preferences, increased health awareness. However, the industry still underdeveloped subsistence nature. Climate change has impacted aquaculture production (AQUAP) SSA because greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. AQUAP activities also results GHG In SSA, causal effect emissions not yet been empirically established quantified. The objective study was to determine relationship between SSA. parsimonious vector autoregressive (VAR) model used study, with annual time series data Gross Domestic Product (GDP), meat (MP), emissions, from 1970 2020. findings demonstrate that suppressed until 2006 when it suddenly increased. In-depth analyses of the spatial imbalance and polarization marine green aquaculture efficiency have a profound impact on realization high-quality development fisheries. Based data mariculture in nine coastal provinces China from 2006 to 2019, this research analyzed using quantitative measurements explored their causes. Farmed freshwater prawn ( Macrobrachium rosenbergii ) and black tiger shrimp Penaeus monodon comprise a significant portion of Bangladesh’s seafood exports, raising concerns about their environmental impacts. Freshwater farms, which require relatively high amount feed supply, release 1.0 MT CO 2 -equivalents/year, equating to 18.8 kg e/MT prawn, contributing significantly global warming climate change risks. Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture (IMTA) offers an alternative farming method conventional systems, as it minimizes greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions Systematically reviewing 112 scientific articles on IMTA, this article recommendations for adopting IMTA promote sustainable in Bangladesh. is undergoing extensive experimentation practice many parts the world, offering economic benefits, social acceptability, sustainability. Within the global aquaculture industry, sustainable shrimp industry is becoming more important as demand for seafood rises and expands. However, it faces several issues including environmental impact, disease, low productivity, water quality control. Recent developments in greenhouse (GS) have yielded promising solutions to address these challenges with development of industry. This chapter explores potential application GS an environmentally friendly approach Firstly, discussing limitations facing traditional open-pond farming their concerns. Then, highlights concept its unique advantages, such enhanced conditions, disease prevention, improved protocols. The components required will be reviewed. essential that are crucial efficient aquaculture. Furthermore, also integration other aquatic organisms fish, clams, seaweed, enhancing both sustainability profitability In conclusion, sector stands poised surmount existing challenges, mitigate footprint, cater escalating sustainably produced shrimp. summary, can obstacles, reduce satisfy rising production.

Aquaculture plays a crucial role in meeting the needs of growing human population and achieving sustainable development goals outlined Agenda 2030. However, it is essential that this sector grows sustainably. In study, we hypothesized environmental sustainability decreases as trophic level farmed species increases higher integrated systems compared to monocultures. To test these hypotheses, conducted comparative analysis indicators some aquaculture systems, including farming primary producers, filter feeders, low-trophic phagotrophs. We compiled secondary data on eighteen from seven systems. Five are monocultures, macroalgae (Hypnea pseudomusciformis), oysters (Crassostrea gazar) tropical environment, subtropical well tambatinga (hybrid Colossoma macropomum × Piaractus brachypomus) tambaqui (Colossoma macropomum). Additionally, two systems: raised hapa nets (small cage-like enclosures) within Amazon river prawn (Macrobrachium amazonicum) ponds, prawns cohabitating freely same ponds. A benchmark tool was utilized establish reference values for comparing between method developed create indices integrate all indicators.
