Digital agriculture supports farmers’ decision making to improve productivity and profitability. However, adoption of digital technology is uneven. Through interviews with 21 medium acreage almond growers crop consultants in California’s Central Valley, we examine barriers through the lens acceptance models, Technology Acceptance Model (TAM-3) Unified Theory Use (UTAUT-2). Not surprisingly, farmers are willing adopt when profitability ease use shown, economic returns (either anticipated or demonstrated) from investment serving as primary factor influencing adoption. Trust operates a moderating desire for that influences There may be trust, lack performance advisors who recommend it. Producer trust affected by expectations relevance usefulness, it influenced prior experience. Concerns about data management (e.g., governance, quality, privacy, security) take back seat more practical issues such profitability, leaving producers an imbalanced position tech companies have interest their agricultural data. We assert producer practices (despite uncertainty how utilize being generated) implies there basic level companies’ consistent models moralistic behaviors precision ag Our findings contribute growing research on debates benefits downsides agriculture.

Abstract Within food Supply Chains (SCs), products labeled through Geographical Indications (GIs) hold paramount importance as distinctive and culturally significant entities, ensuring the integrity distinctiveness of regional specialties. By strictly regulating geographic origin production methods, Protected Designation Origin (PDO) not only guarantees preservation traditional practices but also safeguards cultural legacy identity regions where genuine PDO are produced. However, very mechanisms safeguarding authenticity can be exploited within globalized systems, creating opportunities for fraudulent activities intentional or unintentional adulteration. This study specifically delves into overarching realm SCs, using Feta cheese a prominent case study. Through an assessment SC in Greece, encompassing Delphi Technique with amalgamation design stages Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), Vulnerabilities Assessment Point (VACCP), Threat (TACCP) methodologies, operations, vulnerabilities, critical control points scrutinized. The results indicate multifaceted vulnerabilities (CCPs) that need to addressed constitute precursor augmenting SCs. Moreover, utilization Blockchain Technology (BT) exhibits intrinsic potential enhancing administration supply chains fundamentally transform data management foster increased levels trust among stakeholders.
