technology

uneven.
Through
interviews
with
21
medium
acreage
almond
growers
crop
consultants
in
California’s
Central
Valley,
we
examine
barriers
through
the
lens
acceptance
models,
Technology
Acceptance
Model
(TAM-3)
Unified
Theory
Use
(UTAUT-2).
Not
surprisingly,
farmers
are
willing
adopt
when
profitability
ease
use
shown,
economic
returns
(either
anticipated
or
demonstrated)
from
investment
serving
as
primary
factor
influencing
adoption.
Trust
operates
a
moderating
desire
for
that
influences
There
may
be
trust,
lack
performance
advisors
who
recommend
it.
Producer
trust
affected
by
expectations
relevance
usefulness,
it
influenced
prior
experience.
Concerns
about
data
management
(e.g.,
governance,
quality,
privacy,
security)
take
back
seat
more
practical
issues

profitability,
leaving
producers

labeled
through
Geographical
Indications
(GIs)
hold
paramount
importance
as
distinctive
and
culturally
significant
entities,
ensuring
the
integrity
distinctiveness
of
regional
specialties.
By
strictly
regulating
geographic
origin
production
methods,
Protected
Designation
Origin
(PDO)
not
only
guarantees
preservation
traditional
practices
but
also
safeguards
cultural
legacy
identity
regions
where
genuine
PDO
are
produced.
However,
very
mechanisms
safeguarding
authenticity
can
be
exploited
within
globalized
systems,
creating
opportunities
for
fraudulent
activities
intentional
or
unintentional
adulteration.
This
study
specifically
delves
into
overarching
realm
SCs,
using
Feta
cheese
a
prominent
case
study.
Through
an
assessment
SC
in
Greece,
encompassing
Delphi
Technique
with
amalgamation
design
stages
Hazard
Analysis
Critical
Control
Points
(HACCP),
Vulnerabilities
Assessment
Point
(VACCP),
Threat
(TACCP)
methodologies,
operations,
vulnerabilities,
critical
control
points
scrutinized.
The
results
indicate
multifaceted
vulnerabilities
(CCPs)
that
need
to
addressed
constitute
precursor
augmenting
SCs.
Moreover,
utilization
Blockchain
Technology
(BT)
exhibits
intrinsic
potential
enhancing
administration
supply
chains
fundamentally
transform
data
management
foster
increased
levels
trust
among
stakeholders.
