Groundwater resources are closely related to climate change. Evaluating the groundwater deficit and its variation characteristics under change is necessary understand risk associated with enhanced recovery solutions provide supporting information for choosing best technology risk-reducing measures implement. In this study, by using CROPWAT model copula theory, (1) we developed a index (Gsci) agricultural requirements that assesses imposed precipitation changes on North China Plain (NCP), four grades of Gsci were high deficit, moderate low no deficit. (2) We estimated NCP period 1971–2020 applying climatic, soil, crop phenological, hydrogeology data index. Full-film double-ridge furrow sowing technology (FDRFST) and nitrogen (N) management are crucial for sustainable agricultural development. To investigate the N fertilizer application scheme spring maize with high yield, precipitation water productivity (PWP), use efficiency (NUE) under FDRFST, a two-year field experiment was carried out in rainfed area of Longzhong (LZ). Treatments included two types fertilization (common urea [U] controlled release [CU]), three rates (180, 225, 270 kg hm−2), conditions no plastic film mulching. The results showed that temperature-increase effect PM on soil between 2021 2022 concentrated 0–90 days, average values 5 cm temperature increasing by 4.15 3.58 ºC, respectively. However, rate had negligible effects temperature. Plastic mulching (PM) required compensation, particularly during sowing–emergence stage, 1.68 compensation coefficient. Based simulation modified DNDC model, recommended CU (180 hm−2) LZ increased PWP, NUE 15.8%, 16.0%, 36.4% from 1981 to 2020, respectively, compared U treatments. Our provide theoretical basis production offer critical insights improving model conditions.

Integrating the spatial flow perspective, temporal trade-off and future tendency perspective enables a comprehensive assessment of nature's contributions to people (NCPs). However, assessments that integrate these perspectives combine them with regional ecological restoration policy remain limited. Based on considering two dimensions people's needs, we assessed forecasted water-related NCPs, including water yield (NCP6), purification (NCP7), soil conservation (NCP8), from Loess Plateau downstream regions Yellow River in China. To forecast tendencies NCPs their trade-offs, simulate land use changes based rapid landscape slow under five shared socioeconomic pathways (SSPs) 2020 2100. The results showed distributions values three differ greatly corresponding contributions. NCP will decrease all scenarios, while be stable most scenarios except SSP3. faster R2 compared R1, highest rate observed at 2.11%. Conversely, experienced R1 than R2, rates 8.61% 14.30% respectively. have more positive impact NCP, negative other restoration. This provides benefits dual indicating importance integrating both when making policy.

Ecological restoration programs (ERPs) can lead to dramatic land use change, thereby affecting ecosystem services and their interaction. Determining the optimal ERPs is a crucial issue for ecological in ecologically fragile regions. This study analyzed impacts of change on four water-related (WESs), namely water yield, soil retention, purification, food production Ganjiang River basin, China during past two decades. Then, trade-off synergy between WESs were detected based correlation analysis. Finally, quantify effect WESs, we comprehensively considered types intensity designed categories scenarios: returning farmland forest (RFF) scenarios; planting (PF) riparian forestland buffer (RFB) grassland (RGB) scenarios. Each category contains five scenarios different intensities. The results showed that increased while purification decreased from 2000 2020. deterioration quality was mainly due transitions built-up land. Trade-offs only occurred regulating provisioning services. Among all scenarios, RFF significantly improve retention at same time, although will decrease. The role green, grey, blue white footprints yield production has been critically investigated to analyze climate economic risks. Therefore, a nonlinear hydro-economic framework, which integrates soil content, economics used semi-arid regions China. Non-dimensional form net benefit per drop was formulated uncertainty parameters. Root zone moisture simulated estimate crop yield, transpiration, evaporation, required irrigation increase quality. Five plants potato, onion, tomato, eggplant carrot were selected due similarity plant growth season market criteria. results showed that average effective rainfall contributed less than 15% production. impact risk fluctuations achieving expected profit more water.
