Microsatellites are highly polymorphic repeat sequences ubiquitously interspersed throughout almost all genomes which widely used as powerful molecular markers in diverse fields. Microsatellite expansions play pivotal roles gene expression regulation and implicated various neurological diseases cancers. Although much effort has been devoted to developing efficient tools for microsatellite identification, there is still a lack of tool large-scale analysis. We present Krait2, user-friendly graphical investigating perfect, imperfect compound microsatellites from FASTA FASTQ formatted genomic datasets. Krait2 not only provides features such primer design, filtering, annotation statistical analysis, but also offers output formats support customized downstream Moreover, it capability analyzing multiple simultaneously conducting comparative versatile easy-to-use software both novices experts identify analyze microsatellites. Genotyping is the process of determining genetic makeup an organism by examining its DNA sequences using various markers. It has been widely used in fields, such as agriculture, biomedical and conservation research, to study diversity, inheritance, basis disease-associated traits, evolution, adaptation, etc., markers have evolved immensely are broadly classified random (RFLP, RAPD, AFLP, etc.) functional (SCoT, CDDP, SRAP, etc.). However, very limited genotype studies, especially animal science, despite their advantages overcoming limitations markers, which directly linked with phenotypic high specificity, similar logistic requirements. The current review surveyed available for genotyping applications, focusing on livestock including plant microbe domains. This article summarises application, advantages, developed methods applications. aims make reader aware all design principles, methods, we discuss marker inheritance patterns RLFP AFLP. further outlines selection particular applications endorses application research.

In anisogamous species, sexual selection is expected to be stronger in males. Bateman's principles state that the variance (i) reproductive and (ii) mating success greater for males, (iii) relationship between (the Bateman gradient) also males than females. Sexual selection, based on principles, has been demonstrated animals some angiosperms, but never a seaweed. Here we focus oogamous haploid-diploid rhodophyte Gracilaria gracilis which previous studies have shown evidence non-random mating, suggesting existence of male–male competition female choice. We estimated using paternity analyses natural population where up 92% fertilizations occurred partners population. The results show significantly females gradient positive only Distance explains minor part male success. Although there no dimorphism, our study supports hypothesis occurs G. , probably traits, even if cannot observe, characterize or quantify them yet.
