Background/Objectives: Adolescence is a sensitive period of development marked by significant changes. The quality life (QoL) adolescents with atopic dermatitis (AD) can be substantially impacted the disease. chronic nature AD particularly significant: due to recurring (relapsing) skin lesions, are likely exposed greater stress and depressive symptoms than those experiencing transient or one-time symptoms. Aesthetic functional lesions during adolescence lead reduced happiness, high depression. Methods: In this review, we wanted present current knowledge on mental health, psychological features psychiatric comorbidity AD, based previous studies/research topic presented in PubMed database. Results: Previous studies have confirmed that sleep disturbances, behavioral disorders, internalizing profiles, depression anxiety, suicidality represent most prevalent comorbidities AD. According research data, also reported tendency toward feelings sadness hopelessness, even suicidal thoughts attempts. relationship between complex multifaceted. Conclusions: Adequate social competencies essential for healthy development, as their impairments may associated alterations disorders childhood potentially persist into adulthood. These findings highlight need continuous evaluation implementation intervention programs from an early age. Psychological interventions, such cognitive therapy, accompanied psychopharmaceuticals, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (when indicated), seem beneficial treatment options patients who frequent comorbidities: anxiety.
