Prussian blue analogues (PBAs) have recently emerged as effective materials in different functional applications, ranging from energy storage to electrochemical water splitting, thence more “traditional” heterogeneous catalysis. Their versatility is due their open framework, compositional variety, and fast efficient internal charge exchange, coupled with a self-healing ability that makes them unique. This review paper presents discusses the findings of last decade field catalytic photocatalytic application PBAs remediation (via degradation organic pollutants heavy metal removal) oxidation organics production or intermediates for industrial synthesis. Analysis processes approached critical perspective, highlighting both achievements research community limits still affecting this field.
