Abstract Accurate and real‐time detection of human body temperature changes is crucial to understand thermal homeostasis, access complex health conditions, further build a smart healthcare system. Recent years have seen sensors open up many potential applications in electronic skin, artificial intelligence, next‐generation robots. Currently, traditional mercury infrared thermometers are extensively used for detection. However, they still suffer from rigid appearance, slow response, insufficient sensitivity, low accuracy, harm risk the users. Therefore, it highly desired develop more breathable, deformable, economically available functional materials construct flexible high performance sensors. Alternatively, fiber attracted attention owing their soft, flexible, porous features. This review summarizes comprehensive research advancement field constructed with materials. Temperature sensing mechanisms, constructing materials, characterizations, practical applications, fiber‐based different structural designs systematically introduced at great length. Research outlook prospects will be presented inspire readers.
