Chlorinated volatile organic compounds (CVOCs) are persistent pollutants and harmful to the atmosphere, environment, human health. The catalytic elimination of CVOCs has become a hotspot interest due their self-toxicity, secondary generation chlorinated by-products, Cl poisoning catalysts. development high-performance, highly selective, anti-poisoning catalysts is critical issue. Bimetallic exhibit an improved dechlorination performance, resistance, product selectivity through modulation geometrical electronic structures. present review article gives brief overview recent advancements in preparation bimetallic CVOC activities. In addition, representative case studies provided investigate physicochemical properties, conversion, COx inorganic chlorine species selectivities, by-product control so that structure–performance relationships can be established. Furthermore, this provides fundamental understanding designing with specific active components desired properties for target reactions. end, related perspectives future work proposed.
