The reduction of CO2 emissions has become a global concern. In this regard, the EU intends to cut by 55% 2030 compared those 1990. utilization shallow geothermal energy (SGE) in countries is considered most effective measure for decarbonizing heating and cooling. SGE systems utilize heat collected from earth’s crust provide secure, clean, ubiquitous energy. This paper provides literature review on use cooling purposes. latest advances materials, new innovative structures, techno-economic optimization approaches have been discussed detail. Shallow energy’s potential first introduced, borehole structures improve performance reduce installation cost outlined. followed an extensive survey different types conventional thermally enhanced collectors grouts. Attention mainly given analysis approaches. published case studies, least economic break-even point against fossil fuel-based occurs within 2.5 17 years, depending local geological conditions, efficiency, prices, subsidy. Ground source pumps’ cost-effectiveness could be improved through market maturity, increased cheap electricity, good subsidy programs.

Thermal energy storage (TES) is recognized as a well-established technology added to the smart systems support immediate increase in demand, flatten rapid supply-side changes, and reduce costs through an efficient sustainable integration. On utilization side, low-temperature heating (LTH) high-temperature cooling (HTC) have grown popular because of their excellent performance terms efficiency, cost-effectiveness, ease integration with renewable resources. This article presents current state-of-the-art regarding design TES integrated LTH HTC systems. first explained basic concepts, classification, possibilities. Secondly, literature on well-known existing control approaches, strategies, optimization methods applied thermal reviewed. Thirdly, specifications, types, benefits, drawbacks from viewpoints supply demand sides are discussed. Fourthly, based approach/strategy, method, building type, supplier investigated find newest technology, ideas, features detect gaps. The present will provide realistically feasible solution for having configuration maximum possible reliability, cost-effectiveness owners suppliers.
