Many measles endemic countries with suboptimal coverage levels still rely on vaccination campaigns to fill immunity gaps and boost control efforts. Depending local epidemiological patterns, national or targeted are implemented, following which post-campaign surveys (PCCSs) conducted evaluate their performance, particularly in terms of reaching previously unvaccinated children. Due limited resources, PCCS designed be representative at coarse spatial scales, often masking important heterogeneities that could enhance the identification areas poor performance for follow-up via routine immunization strategies. Here, we undertake geospatial analyses 2021 Nigeria map indicators measuring individual combined campaign (RI) 1 × km resolution ward district 13 states. Using additional datasets, also produced estimates numbers children during measles-containing vaccine (MCV) zero-dose before after these within health facility catchment areas. Our study revealed although reduced MCV all districts, RI considerable remained. further identified wards higher outputs provide a robust evidence base plan implement strategies guide future flexible operationally relevant scales.
