Gadolinium
functionalized
carbon
dot
complexes
(Gd-CDs)
have
both
the
fluorescent
properties
of
dots
and
magnetic
characteristics
gadolinium
ions,
exhibiting
excellent
biocompatibility,
high
spatial
resolution,
sensitivity,
deep
tissue
penetration
in
bioimaging.
As
fluorescence
(FL)
resonance
imaging
(MRI)
probes,
Gd-CDs
attracted
significant
attention
dual-modal
biological
imaging.
This
review
summarizes
recent
advances
Gd-CDs,
focusing
on
their
structure,
optical
properties,
applications
First,
according
to
different
existing
forms
dots,
structures
are
categorized
into
chelation,
electrostatic
interaction,
encapsulation.
Second,
mechanisms
performances
introduced
detail.
The
reported
a
maximum
quantum
yield
69.86%,
with
emission
wavelength
reaching
up
625
nm,
optimum
longitudinal
transverse
relaxivity
rates
35.39
115.6
mM-1
s-1,
respectively,
showing
FL/MRI
capacities.
Subsequently,
progress
cellular
imaging,
vivo
integrated
cancer
diagnosis
therapy
is
reviewed.
Finally,
challenges
issues
faced
by
development
summarized,
providing
new
insights
for
controlled
synthesis
widespread
application
biomedical
field

In
this
study,
S-methyl
derivatives
of
dithiocarbamates
(DTCs)
were
found
to
significantly
enhance
the
chemiluminescence
(CL)
between
Ce(IV)
and
efficient,
environmentally
friendly
nitrogen-doped
carbon
dots
(N-CDs).
Based
on
elucidation
CL
mechanisms,
an
innovative
approach
high-performance
liquid
chromatography
coupled
with
N-CDs
materials
detection
(HPLC-CDCL)
was
first
proposed.
The
developed
method
successfully
applied
highly
sensitive
determination
three
kinds
DTCs
fungicides
(dimethyl
dithiocarbamate,
ethylene
bisdithiocarbamate
propylene
bisdithiocarbamate)
in
tea.
recovery
established
ranged
from
70.51%
116.45%
relative
standard
deviations
below
9.40%.
limit
(S/N=3)
as
low
0.19
µg/L
(as
CS2),
which
is
superior
previous
methods
comparable
UPLC-MS/MS.
Moreover,
present
free
solid
phase
extraction
offers
excellent
selectivity.
This
study
puts
forward
a
novel
idea
for
food
safety
environmental
field.
