Taste is one of the basic senses living organisms and can recognize sour, bitter, salty, sweet umami tastes. Bitter taste receptor a class G protein-coupled receptors capable sensing bitterness. Initially, bitter was thought to be only found in buds tongue, palate throat. Recent research has shown that addition oral cavity, also present intestinal tract, respiratory urinary vascular smooth muscle, nervous system, thyroid gland other tissues organs regulate body homeostasis resist disorders . In this review, we focus on effects outside cavity lay groundwork for future research.

Abstract The purpose of the present narrative review was to propose a unifying generalized conceptual model mechanisms and processes in appetite self-regulation (ASR) childhood. Obesity is a condition that characterized by the presence of excessive adipose tissue in body. has become one main health concerns worldwide since it can lead to other chronic ailments, such as type 2 diabetes or fatty liver disease, and could be an aggravating factor infections. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small, non-coding RNA molecules regulate gene expression play important role controlling crucial biological processes involved onset obesity, lipogenesis, adipogenesis, lipid metabolism, regulation cytokines chemokines. Moreover, chemical compounds present food packaging alter miRNA aforementioned mechanisms related progression. Furthermore, therapies, bariatric surgery aerobic exercise training, also influence profile miRNAs obesity. Therefore, review provides insight into current research on obesity obesity-derived intending develop novel therapies effectively manage these disorders.

The carbohydrate-insulin model predicts that meals with varying glycemic indices will elicit distinct metabolic and hunger responses, including greater intake at subsequent following high-glycemic-index meals. To test this, a randomized trial (NCT05804942) was conducted in healthy adults using intervention low, medium, high constant macronutrient composition. After of the meals, glucose insulin followed predicted pattern, but subjective did not. At group level, low index led to lower energy changes. individual changes were unrelated body fatness or levels glucose, β-hydroxybutyrate, free fatty acids, L-lactate, leptin, adrenaline, glucagon-like peptide-1, glucagon, insulin-glucagon ratio. A weak negative association observed between ratio 300 min, opposite model's prediction. These data provide little support for model.
