People working in the field of Animal-Assisted Interventions (AAIs) often state that they perceive animal welfare as a matter paramount importance; nevertheless, most scientific literature focuses on effectiveness interventions from user’s perspective. Before focusing animals’ management and during their interactions with users, it is important to ensure “ordinary lives”. This article reports information considerations about donkeys involved AAIs Northern Italy. Six facilities several years experience Donkey-Assisted were visited for purpose an initial data collection regarding AAIs.
