As a region susceptible to the impacts of climate change, evaluating temporal and spatial variations in ecological environment quality (EEQ) potential influencing factors is crucial for ensuring security Tibetan Plateau. This study utilized Google Earth Engine (GEE) platform construct Remote Sensing-based Ecological Index (RSEI) examined dynamics Plateau’s EEQ from 2000 2022. The findings revealed that RSEI Plateau predominantly exhibited slight degradation trend 2022, with multi-year average 0.404. Utilizing SHAP (Shapley Additive Explanation) interpret XGBoost (eXtreme Gradient Boosting), identified natural as primary influencers on Plateau, temperature, soil moisture, precipitation variables exhibiting higher values, indicating their substantial contributions. interaction between temperature showed positive effect RSEI, value increasing rising precipitation. methodology results this could provide insights comprehensive understanding monitoring dynamic evolution amidst context change.

The high-altitude region in northeastern Türkiye is known as the Erzurum–Kars Plateau. Ardahan, Erzurum, and Kars provinces are its most important settlements, established at an altitude of approximately 1800 m on plateau. In this region, where continental climate prevails, relationships between PM10 concentration levels recorded 2010 2022 meteorological variables were investigated. During study, average daily for winter seasons 73.3, 76.7, 72.2 µg/m3 respectively. same period, temperature (and humidity) was determined −6.9 °C (75.0%), −7.1 (82.9%), −6.3 (75.7%), respectively, wind speed 0.9 m/s, 2.2 1.7 For these provinces, highest correlation coefficients speed) calculated −0.47 (−0.36), −0.49 (−0.60), −0.52 (−0.54), while summer 0.32 (−0.32), 0.39 (−0.35), 0.55 (−0.48), analysis performed using wavelet coherence approach, it possible to determine parameters not only annual cycles, but also seasonal even monthly cycles.

Around the world, a large number of stone artifacts have been exposed to air for long periods time, showing multiple types deterioration that attracted widespread attention. Among them, there is an often overlooked artifacts, i.e., black stains on surface calcareous stone, which are tightly bonded substrate as result long-term deposition pollution. However, due current lack clear understanding stains, people tend use wrong cleaning and conservation methods, not conducive sustainable conservation. Therefore, urgent need comprehensively recognize in terms material properties environmental sustainability guide scientific methods. To this end, paper, we take observed marble buildings Xianling Tomb, China, example, first aim create comprehensive from aspects characteristics. Multi-analytical approaches, including polarized light microscopy, X-ray fluorescence (XRF), scanning electron microscopy with energy dispersive spectrometry (SEM-EDS), were employed discern differences between stains. The results revealed formation was attributed prolonged exposure various pollutants (PM, SO2, NO2, CO, O3). Subsequently, observational data 2015 2023 utilized investigate temporal evolution local their coupled resonances. Multi-scale variations (annual, seasonal, monthly, weekly, daily) pollutant concentration sequences identified, helps us clearer perception proactively control region different cycles. In addition, wavelet coherence (WTC) demonstrated significant time-scale dependency correlation pollutants, provides effective support coordinated pollutants. This study reveals mechanism stain artifact surfaces, prediction oriented novel approach knowledge artifacts.

Published: March 1, 2024

The possible influence of global climate changes on agricultural production is becoming increasingly significant, necessitating greater attention to improving in response temperature rises and precipitation variability. As one the main winter wheat-producing areas China, temporal spatial distribution characteristics precipitation, accumulated temperature, actual yield climatic wheat during growing period Shanxi Province were analysed detail. With utilisation daily meteorological data collected from 12 stations 1964–2018, our study change with using GIS combined wavelet analysis. results show following: (1) Accumulated are two most important limiting factors among physical that impact yield. Based analysis ArcGIS geographical detector, correlation between growth was highest, reaching 0.469, this also reached its peak value 0.376. (2) regions more suitable area had relatively high yields. Overall, average entire region showed a significant increasing trend over time, an upward 47.827 kg ha−1 yr−1. (3) variation coefficient stable 2008–2018. In particular, there many years continuous reduction yields prior 2006. Thereafter, became smaller. This expands understanding complex interactions variables crop but provides practical recommendations for enhancing practices

It is still necessary to regularly investigate the breakdown of socio-economic elements as a starting point for analyzing effects diverse human production activities on PM2.5 intensity from industrial and regional viewpoints. In this paper, emission factor model was adopted measure emissions in Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei (BTH) region at levels. The logarithmic mean Divisia index (LMDI) decomposition employed analyze factors affecting related energy consumption BTH sectoral Building foundation, system dynamics (SD) established make prediction regarding pollution 2025. This study found that secondary industry major source region. Coal remained main form Secondly, effect size ranked order intensity, structure, structure. Thirdly, 2025, will decline appreciably, but there certain gap terms meeting targets “the 14th Five-Year Plan” between three provinces cities. These results indicate should achieve effective management through following initiatives: it carry out continuous adjustment structures gradually increase proportion clean energy; we must steadily promote reduction, strengthen scientific technological innovation; continue optimization structure tertiary every year.
