The use of an effective photocatalyst is critical for the photocatalytic degradation pollutants in water using visible light, which essential prerequisite wastewater treatment. In this work, Z-scheme heterostructure Bi2Ti2O7/CaIn2S4 (BTO–CIS) with high effectiveness crystal violet was successfully synthesized a two-step process combining hydrothermal treatment and coprecipitation. BTO/CIS heterojunction demonstrated efficacy 98.58% degrading CV after 15 min light exposure. comparison, BTO CIS individually degraded by up to 62.01 75.80%, respectively, though over extended duration 50 min. combination results increase separation charges at interface, ultimately leads efficiency catalyst. Furthermore, ESR measurements quenching studies have identified hydroxyl radicals (•OH) superoxide (•O2–) as main active species. Additionally, exhibited significant against ciprofloxacin tetracycline. exceptional stability, advantageous practical applications
