Abstract. Red Sea mangroves have a lower carbon burial rate than the global average, whereby small greenhouse gas fluxes may offset large proportion of burial. Monthly soil core sampling was conducted across 2 years at two sites within central eastern mangrove stand to examine dioxide (CO2) and methane (CH4) under dry inundated conditions. Fluxes were highly variable, characterized by prevalence low emissions punctuated bursts high emissions. At landward site, average ± SE (median) flux from soil–air interface 3111 929 (811) µmol CO2 m−2 d−1 and 1.68 0.63 (0.26) CH4 light conditions 8657 2269 (1615) 0.84 0.79 (0.59) dark Average sea–air −55 165 (−79) 0.12 0.23 (0.08) 27 48 (53) 0.16 0.13 (0.09) in The seaward site recorded higher flux, averaging 18.7 8.18 (1.7) 17.1 4.55 (7.7) Mean 94.5 % burial, with median 4.9 skewed extreme variability. Since the discovery of ash tree ( Fraxinus spp.) killer emerald borer (EAB; Agrilus planipennis) in United States 2002 and Moscow, Russia 2003, substantial detection management efforts have been applied to contain monitor its spread mitigate impacts. Despite these efforts, pest continues within North America. It has European Ukraine is causing sporadic outbreaks native range China. The dynamics EAB's expansion events appear be linked lack resistant trees invaded ranges, facilitated by abundance or planted American susceptible species. We review recently gained knowledge EAB; ecological, economic, social impacts; past with their successes limitations. also highlight advances biological control, mechanisms resistance, new approaches under development, aim guiding more effective management.

Aim of the study: In process global climate change (GCC), migration mechanism needed especially for forest trees must be provided by humans. For this purpose, contrary to previous studies, detailed studies carried out on small areas are needed. Area present study in Kastamonu Regional Directorate Forestry, which performs highest level wood production Türkiye, it was aimed specify actual distribution Abies and their suitable due GCC. Material methods: study, besides existing potential future areas, also were determined using SSP 126, 370, 585 scenarios years 2040, 2070, 2100 at Kastamonu. Main results: The results achieved there showed that, depending change, populations would form an increase general. Research highlights: This species (Abies) seems incapable keeping up with such changes without human intervention. Thus, considering results, is recommended make necessary amendments management plans.

With the intensification of global warming, wetland greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions have attracted worldwide attention. However, scientific understanding GHGs is still limited. To gain a comprehensive and systematic current research status development trends in GHGs. We selected 1627 papers related to GHG from Web Science Core Collection database used bibliometric visualization analysis method reveal annual publication, main core forces, hotspots, this field. The results showed that field shows steady upward trend. United States institutions scholars play key role on "climate change" based three major (carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O)) has been continuously gaining popularity. In recent years, "water" become an emerging topic. More more studies focused enhancing pollutant treatment capacity, improving ecosystem productivity, maintaining water level stability, strengthening blue carbon sink function, exploring remote sensing applications wetlands, promoting restoration reduce emissions. Furthermore, we discussed influencing factors emission CO2, CH4, N2O wetlands summarized potential methods findings provide guidance reference sustainable reduction.
