In conventional chemical analysis, samples are homogenized, extracted, purified, and injected into an analytical instrument manually or with a certain degree of automation. Such complex methods can provide superior performance in terms sensitivity selectivity. However, some cases, it would be advantageous to possess method that circumvents those preparatory steps, which require much attention. Here, we present facile approach sampling volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Solid specimens emitting VOCs dropped onto the drop-off zone at random position without any special alignment. A computer vision system recognizes specimen position, robotic arm places probe proximity specimen. The aspirates VOCs─emitted by specimen─with aid suction force. portion gaseous extract is transferred tritium-based ion source drift-tube mobility spectrometer. spectrum immediately displayed customized graphical user interface (GUI). also features function for flushing ducts hot nitrogen gas. Multiple analysis same time. one embodiment, distinguish fresh meat from spoiled meat. When two placed on zone, they sampled arm, analyzed, labeled digital image GUI. Thus, developed autosampling platform provides hassle-free way qualitative semiquantitative raw specimens.
