Abstract
Tetraploid
oysters
are
artificially
produced
that
do
not
exist
in
nature.
The
successful
breeding
of
100%
triploid
resolved
the
difficulties
with
traditional
drug–induced
triploids
such
as
presence
drug
residues
and
low
induction
rate.
However,
little
is
known
concerning
biochemical
composition
nutrient
contents
tetraploids.
Therefore,
we
investigated
compositional
differences
among
diploid,
triploid,
tetraploid
Crassostrea
gigas
well
between
males
females
diploids
findings
indicated
glycogen,
EPA,
∑PUFA
Omega-3
were
significantly
higher
than
diploid
or
tetraploid;
had
C14:0,
essential
amino
acid,
flavor-presenting
acid
triploids,
while
highest
protein
content.
For
both
tetraploids,
levels
glutamate,
methionine,
phenylalanine
but
lower
glycine
alanine.
In
addition,
female
more
DHA,
omega-3
total
fatty
acids,
a
result
may
be
due
to
fact
gonadal
development
male
requires
energy
sustain
growth,
consumes
greater
amounts
nutrients,
accumulates
proteins.
With
these
results,
important
information
provided
for
production
C.
,
basis
backing
genetic
oysters.
