With the proposal of dual carbon goals, enhancing sinks and reducing emissions has become a critical issue. Fisheries, as component agriculture, possess attributes being “carbon sink” (biological fixation) source” (the from fishing vessels). Therefore, it is necessary to assess sink emission levels fisheries. The northern marine economic circle, which includes Liaoning, Hebei, Tianjin, Shandong, an important site for fisheries in China, characterized by abundant aquatic resources. However, comprehensive assessment budget this region still unclear. This study calculated sinks, emissions, net associated with 2013 2020. Additionally, we used sensitivity analysis scenario simulation explore factors influencing emissions. results revealed that circle was deficit amount higher than sinks) downward trend observed, indicating potential achieving neutrality. From perspective provinces, significant differences among provinces (cities) were found terms Shandong having largest Furthermore, production clams use seawater trawl have impact on Increasing while power trawling operations can significantly decrease Based these results, provides relevant suggestions enhance capacity circle.

The shellfish and algae carbon sinks as an important part of the fishery sinks. It is great significance to evaluate current development status for realization neutrality. There are a lot studies on quantitative relationship sinks, but few researches its spatial relationship. This study used Natural Breaks Standard Deviation Ellipse (SDE) in Geographic Information System (GIS) analyze evolutionary characteristics China's from 1992 2021.The results show that distribution varied widely different regions, overall layout was stable gradually formed pattern integrated coordinated key regions general regions. The structure unbalanced China, which had potential development.China's strong resilience after natural disasters.Based above findings, this suggests all should increase total output algae, expand scale achieve balanced industry.Local governments introduce marine environmental governance policies according local conditions precise intervention sink areas areas. The government actively promote expansion mariculture scale. This will provide reference future sinks.

Disease is a major concern in Porphyra aquaculture, particularly during the early shell-borne conchocelis (SBC) seedling stage. To explore prevention strategies for diseases, this study explored potential of using oligoagars (OA) and microbial agents (MA) to treat SBC Neoporphyra haitanensis an aquaculture environment. The impact these treatments on phycosphere community was analyzed, resistance treated pathogenic bacterium Vibrio mediterranei 117-T6 (which causes yellow spot disease) tested lab. Results showed that OA reduced α-diversity while enriching Rhodobacteriaceae, MA increased stability relative abundance Bacteroidetes (including Flavobacteria). Furthermore, compared control group, microorganisms virulence functional genes decreased defense-related gene significantly groups with MA. Most importantly, improved Vm117-T6, survival rates 70% 80% (MA), 15% group. Overall, findings suggest have great preventing disease, as they improve increase algae bacteria.

In response to a global shift towards health-conscious and environmentally sustainable food choices, seaweed has emerged as focus for researchers due its large-scale cultivation potential the development of bioactive substances. This research explores anticancer properties extracts, focusing on analyzing impact four common edible seaweeds in Taiwan prostate cancer (PCa) cells’ activity. The study used bioassay-guided fractionation extract Cl80 from various with androgen receptor (AR)-inhibitory demonstrated effective suppression 5α-dihydrotestosterone (DHT)-induced AR activity 103E cells attenuated growth prostate-specific antigen (PSA) protein expression LNCaP 22Rv1 cells. Additionally, exhibited differential effects PCa cell lines. Concentrations above 5 μg/mL significantly inhibited proliferation, while were more resistant Cl80. PC-3 proliferation was at but not completely 50 μg/mL. A clonogenic assay showed that concentration 0.5 μg/mL, colony formation reduced, dose-dependent effect. induced apoptosis all types, especially cells, increased apoptotic observed higher concentrations. also decreased mitochondrial membrane (ΔΨm) manner Furthermore, suppressed migration ability significant reductions LNCaP, 22Rv1, These compelling findings highlight promising therapeutic C. lentillifera J.Agardh isolated compound treatment PCa.
