The main purpose of the investigation is to determine toxic effects alkaloid-rich extract seeds Datura innoxia Mill. on liver tissue white laboratory rats. an annual herb belonging Solanaceae family and widely distributed in territory Republic Azerbaijan. species are known as a source tropane alkaloids, which have therapeutic effects. primary symptoms poisoning, related anticholinergic include hallucinations, mydriasis, dry skin, dizziness, tachycardia, reduced urinary retention, etc. various pathological changes living organisms due toxicity alkaloids were detected by different groups researchers. In presented study plant was prepared using acid-base extraction method dissolved 0.9% physiological saline. Animals subjected oral administration for period 30 days at dose 5 mg/kg body weight, once daily. At end experimental study, samples obtained from control groups. Araldite-Epon blocks following established protocols electron microscopy, semi-thin ultrathin sections Leica EM UC7 ultramicrotome. stained examined under Primo Star light microscope JEM-1400 transmission (TEM). results revealed increased vascular permeability damage endothelial cells central veins sinusoids. Edema formation observed periendothelial perivascular spaces. Stagnation sinusoidal lumen presence bridge-like connections among majority sinusoids identified. Necrosis spaces veins. membranes hepatocytes, constitute parenchyma liver, damaged, cytoplasmic organelles migrated intercellular Disse Glycogen cytoplasm hepatocytes transformed into amorphous form, with certain nuclei experiencing dystrophy, tight junction bile canaliculus disrupted, sometimes not visible. identified indicate that utilization over resulted
