Although a deep electron trap of rutile TiO2 has been proven recently, studies on how to reduce its influences have not reported. To inhibit the and long-living hole TiO2, remarkable nanorod photocatalyst, TiO2(R)-NiCu, with an electron-capturing center plasma center, is developed. Using photocatalytic hydrogen evolution rate can reach 24.4 mmol·g–1·h–1, which 61 times that reference catalyst. The experimental theoretical simulation shows Ni, as transfer electrons in trap, while Cu, supply hot conduction band stimulate them recombine holes. synergistic effect Ni Cu inhibits enhances charge efficiency, resulting significantly improved activity.

Ciprofloxacin antibiotic (CP) is one of the antibiotics with broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity that has highest rate resistance. This undergoes incomplete metabolism within human body and excreted into water, resulting in its hazardous biological ecotoxicological effects. This study investigates the photodegradation efficiency of core/shell structures comprising NiFe2O4/MgFe2O4 (NiF/MgF) and Z-scheme NiFe2O4/Ag/MgFe2O4 (NiF/Ag/MgF) heterojunctions for Methylene Blue dye degradation. In this study, solar radiation was used as a source excitation. X-ray diffraction analysis reveals an increase in particle size micro-strain NiF/MgF NiF/Ag/MgF, confirming formation structures. The NiF/Ag/MgF sample exhibits highest magnetization, attributed to RKKY magnetic interaction between NiF MgF moments via conduction electron Ag metal layer. Optical measurements indicate increased absorption coefficient bandwidth core–shell Photocatalytic activity demonstrate that while bare MgFe2O4 shows limited efficiency, significantly enhance photodegradation. presence layer heterojunction reduces electron-hole pair recombination enhances their separation, leading exceptional efficiency. These results highlight significance configurations augmenting processes under radiation, offering notable economic advantages. Additionally, high magnetization observed studied samples presents opportunity efficient waste material retrieval using simple extraction method.
