Hydroxyapatite (HAp) is a well-known biomaterial that, due to its biocompatibility and bioactivity, has been widely utilized in biomedical applications, including bone tissue engineering drug delivery systems. Over the years, significant advancements have transformed HAp from simple biocompatible substance into an advanced functional material with wide range of applications. The synthesis complex area study involving numerous techniques, each offering unique benefits challenges. This chapter discusses different sol-gel routes, emphasizing influence precursor materials solvent systems on phase purity morphology resulting materials. In addition reviewing existing literature, this presents detailed case dielectric properties. addresses challenges encountered during process, necessity carefully optimizing concentrations achieve desired purity. findings indicate that highest content hydroxyapatite was obtained after heat treatment at 500°C, although secondary phases such as Ca2P2O7, Ca3(PO4)2, Ca3N2 were also identified. morphological analysis revealed particles varying shapes sizes signs agglomeration. Additionally, electrical characterization showed grain boundary resistance values 46.61 245.63 MΩ, respectively. Through combined review approach, aims provide comprehensive overview both theoretical practical aspects synthesis, valuable insights for researchers field science.
