Abstract Electrocatalysts play a pivotal role in various energy conversion processes, such as water splitting, batteries, carbon dioxide reduction, and fuel cell reactions, by significantly reducing the barrier enhancing reaction kinetics. This review highlights potential of earth‐abundant electrocatalysts, with particular focus on their capabilities critical electrochemical including oxygen evolution reaction, reduction hydrogen reaction. Emphasis is also placed bifunctional, trifunctional, tetrafunctional performance, showcasing adaptability effectiveness across diverse applications. Exploration done range promising materials, transition metal chalcogenides, MXenes, metal‐organic frameworks, covalent organic layered double hydroxides. By examining intrinsic properties, structural versatility, surface engineering strategies, this sheds light factors that govern catalytic efficiency stability. The integration experimental advancements theoretical insights provides deeper understanding mechanisms driving activity. Additionally, we address scalability, cost‐effectiveness, environmental impact these underlining for large‐scale deployment. synthesizing recent progress identifying challenges, work delivers roadmap model application multifunctional fostering innovations align goals sustainable systems.
