ABSTRACT Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a major global public health challenge driven by complex interplay of genetic, environmental, and social factors. This review highlights the effects determinants (SDOH) on T2DM in Asia, where rapid urbanization, worsening air pollution, distinct socioeconomic structures uniquely influence disease outcomes. Key SDOH domains, status (education, income, occupation), physical environment, food healthcare access, context, were analyzed for their associations with prevalence, progression, management. Among these, environmental lifestyle shifts have emerged as particularly influential factors Asia. Air fine particulate matter, has been increasingly linked to insulin resistance risk Asian populations. Additionally, urbanization changing environments contribute rising incidence through dietary patterns. Across diverse systems countries, primary care remains universally critical component addressing issues. capital cohesion serve protective factors, whereas isolation heightens vulnerabilities. These insights underscore importance strategies combat Future research should prioritize longitudinal studies culturally tailored interventions reduce region's burden.

Objective This study aims to explore the latent profiles of fatalism among community-dwelling disabled elderly individuals and identify key factors influencing these profiles. The findings will provide valuable insights for formulating tailored care management strategies this population. Design A cross-sectional survey study. Methods random sampling approach was used residing in 109 communities across eight urban districts Sichuan Province. Data were collected through a general information questionnaire Fatalism Scale. Latent profile analysis performed distinct profiles, multivariate unordered regression conducted assess their factors. Results Three identified: high pessimism tendency (35.6%), moderate low optimism (9.6%), with relative (54.8%). Multivariate revealed that living arrangements, number children, educational level, duration disability, self-reported economic stress significant Conclusion There is heterogeneity individuals. The global aging population faces a growing prevalence of sarcopenia and musculoskeletal (MSK) pain, two interrelated conditions that diminish physical function, quality life, independence in older adults. Sarcopenia, characterized by the loss muscle strength, mass, often coexists with MSK emerging evidence suggesting each condition may contribute to progression other. This perspective explores bidirectional relationship between highlighting shared mechanisms, including inactivity, cellular aging, chronic inflammation, gender-related hormonal changes, psychosocial factors such as depression social isolation, which underlie mutual exacerbation conditions. Through multidisciplinary framework, article emphasizes integrating care across specialties address these interconnected Practical approaches, comprehensive screening protocols, tailored resistance exercise, nutritional support, are discussed alongside innovative hybrid models combining in-person telemedicine systems enhance accessibility continuity care. A call action is presented for clinicians, policymakers, researchers adopt collaborative strategies, prioritize investment integrated healthcare, bridge critical knowledge gaps. Purpose: Social isolation and depression have an impact on cognitive frailty. However, the underlying mechanisms between these variables not been well defined. This study aims to investigate mediating role of depressive symptoms in association social frailty among older adults China. Methods: From Mar 2023 Aug 2023, a cross-sectional was conducted with 496 community-dwelling aged ≥ 60 years Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, Demographic information collected using General Information Questionnaire. The Lubben Network Scale-6 (LSNS-6), Geriatric Depression Scale 15-item (GDS-15), Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA), Clinical Dementia Rating (CDR), FRAIL scale were used for questionnaire survey. Multiple linear regression binary logistic utilized explore associations isolation, symptoms, frailty, Bootstrap analysis Results: Linear results revealed that positively associated (β = 0.873, p < 0.001). Logistic showed (OR 1.769, 95% CI 1.018~3.075) 1.227, 1.108~1.357) significantly Mediation demonstrated mediated relationship indirect effect 0.027 (95% 0.003~0.051), accounted 23.6% total effect. Conclusion: is adults, partially mediate Active promotion integration individuals recommended enhance their mental health, reduce incidence foster active aging. Keywords:

Abstract Objectives To examine the relationships between adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and developing sarcopenia in older adults modifying effects of active social participation. Methods This prospective cohort study used survey data from China Health Retirement Longitudinal Study, including baseline surveys 2011, follow-up 2013, 2015, information on ACEs 2014 Life History Survey. Information concerning 10 ACEs, five threat-related deprivation-related before 17 years age was obtained by questionnaires through face-to-face interviews. Sarcopenia status assessed according to Asian Working Group for 2019 algorithm, consisted low muscle mass, strength, or poor physical performance. The relationship participation, evaluated using Cox proportional hazard regression models. Results population comprised 6859 main analyses. Having experienced ≥ 3 led an increased 31% risk (hazard ratio [HR]:1.31, 95% confidence interval [CI]:1.10–1.56). Participants having 2 (HR:1.22, 95%CI:1.04–1.43) 95%CI:1.02–1.46) had a 22% higher sarcopenia. Active participation significantly modified association (p < 0.05), especially Conclusions were associated with development sarcopenia; however, effect. These findings provide insights early identification vulnerable groups, advance intervention timing, highlight benefits promoting among individuals who have ACEs.
