Presently, financial institutions have tentatively utilized supply chain finance as a means of assessing small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) credit rating. However, traditional techniques cannot satisfy the requirements such assessments because need to assess SME rating from perspective core rather than only SME. In this study, hybrid technique with quantitative qualitative criteria called multi-phase quality function deployment (QFD)-based MULTIMOORA under interval type-2 fuzzy set (IT2FS) is proposed overcome defects techniques. First, values were converted into IT2FSs using developed formulas. Second, QFD model obtain matrix by integrating criterion relationship matrices among SME, enterprises chains. Third, IT2FS-MULTIMOORA enhanced considering improved Borda Rule extended reference point simultaneously derive final rankings; therefore, weight-determining presented based on correlation coefficients. Finally, was applied assessment problem. Comparisons other sensitivity analysis results provide suggestions for loans SMEs. First published online 31 March 2025
