Abstract Background Depression and anxiety symptoms among medical students are often a concern. The Patient Health Questionnaire-Four (PHQ-4), an important tool for depression screening, is commonly used easy to administer. This study aimed assess update the longitudinal measurement invariance psychometric properties of simplified Chinese version. Methods A three-wave survey was conducted healthcare using PHQ-4. Structural validity based on one-factor, two-factor, second-order factor models, construct Self-Rated Questionnaire (SRHQ), Sleep Quality (SQQ), Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES), (LMI), internal consistency, test–retest reliability were structural consistency across three time points. Results results confirmatory analysis indicated that two-factor model best fit, LMI supported at Inter-factor, factor-total, correlations PHQ-4 acceptable. Additionally, Cronbach’s alpha, McDonald’s omega, intraclass correlation coefficient demonstrated acceptable/moderate excellent Conclusions adds new evidence version has promising properties. Abstract Major depressive disorder is a common mental disorder, and significant number of patients exhibit poor response to conventional antidepressant treatments, known as treatment-resistant depression (TRD). However, the definition TRD globally remains unclear, impeding clinical research, treatment development, outcome implementation, policy-making. A wealth research confirms that rTMS demonstrates promising efficacy in TRD. This paper elucidates TRD, summarizes potential targets for treating comprehensively elaborates on unique mechanisms, efficacy, side effects outlines considerations special populations receiving well other modalities Through these studies, we aim provide more scientifically grounded recommendations undergoing

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an autoimmune disease characterized by chronic, progressive neurodegeneration of the central nervous system (CNS), and it most common inflammatory neurological affecting young adults. Given nature disease, psychiatric disorders are more prevalent among these patients, as reported in literature; however, data Saudi Arabia limited. This study aimed to estimate prevalence major depression generalized anxiety disorder patients with MS their association different patient demographics. This was a cross-sectional, multicentered that included adult from 30 June 2021 2022. Participants were interviewed person asked complete survey general demographics, Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9), Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 (GAD-7) questionnaire. Other variables related patients' conditions, such type Expanded Disability Status Scale (EDSS) score, collected patient's electronic records. Descriptive statistics performed, associations made using chi-square, Fisher's exact, analysis variance tests, appropriate.A total 192 participants this study. Based on cutoff score >10 GAD-7 PHQ-9 scales, 26.1% (50), majority having minimal (40%); meanwhile, 42.7% (n = 82), them had mild (30%). Female scored significantly higher compared men scale (p 0.0376), but not 0.1134). In addition, no statistically significant detected between functional disability (EDSS score) depression. This demonstrated high population, women being affected. As comorbid could negatively affect course, screening paramount significance.
