Abstract The mangrove crab (Scylla spp.) is an important commodity for both the ecosystem and coastal community’s economy. This study aims to analyze habitat quality potential spawning locations of crabs on eastern coast Aceh. was conducted by measuring various environmental parameters that influence crabs. physical measured include water temperature, depth, currents, substrate structure. Other salinity, pH, dissolved oxygen (DO) content, biological such as vegetation density, species diversity, plankton population, presence natural predators. method used in this research exploratory, with a quantitative approach purposive sampling technique. Data collection carried out determining three observation points at each location, plot covering area 10x10 m 2 . field samples were then analyzed laboratory. results showed Aceh has good growth crabs, indicated optimal conditions high biodiversity. found pH ranges from 6-7, temperature 19°C-20°C, salinity 22-23 ppm, current speed location 1-3 m, clarity 18 -19 cm, 8-9 km/h, 6-7 ppm. also identified several challenges need be addressed, excessive fishing activities lack community participation conservation. Based study’s findings, sustainable management efforts are recommended, including increasing awareness participation, well implementing better resource policies.

Collagen, recognized as a fundamental protein present in biological tissues and structures, plays crucial role maintaining organ structure tissue integrity. Microbial collagenases are specific for the degradation of collagen. The three-stranded helix region natural collagen can be identified hydrolyzed by microbial under physiological conditions, producing peptides with high activity. This article describes collagenases, providing an introduction to structure, characteristics, factors affecting enzyme activity, hydrolysis mechanisms various classes these enzymes. collagenase is most widely used class important all aspects human life, applications food industry, healthcare environmental protection will addressed this review. In addition its beneficial functions, exist virulence factor pathogenic bacteria, enhanced research on mechanism action help us investigate more effective inhibitors well therapeutic agents tools treatment corresponding diseases. Finally, review critically analyses existing challenges outlines prospects future advancements field.

Background Marine invertebrates, including sponges, molluscs, jellyfish, mussels, and sea cucumbers, are abundant sources of high-quality collagen offer advantages such as availability, ease processing, lower inflammatory response, good metabolic compatibility. Approximately 70% the total protein in body wall cucumbers is collagen. Gelatin a water-soluble produced from heat-denatured has various industrial applications. Methods Pepsin-solubilized was extracted two cucumber Stichopus horrens Holothuria arenicola , species found Oman Sea characterized with SDS-PAGE amino acid composition. Then gelatin pepsin-solubilized S. some rheological properties were measured. Results Amino composition analysis showed that both type I, one α1 chain β chains, molecular weights 125 250 kDa, respectively. Glycine most species. The pepsin-soluble collagens had high levels glycine, proline, alanine, glutamic acid, hydroxyproline. melting point 30 °C displayed exceptional thermal stability, surpassing mammalian gelatin. Its gelling 5 °C, like cold-water fish gelatin, viscosity 2.065 cp-lower than mammal gelatins. These findings suggested could be useful nutraceutical, pharmaceutical cosmetic industries.
