The use of zirconia has significantly enhanced the aesthetic outcomes implant restorations. However, peri-implantitis remains a challenge to long-term functionality implants. Unlike perpendicularly arranged collagen fibers in periodontal tissue, those peri-implant tissue lie parallel abutment surface and contain fewer fibroblasts, making them more prone inflammation. Studies have shown that microgroove structures on abutments could improve surrounding soft structure. creating precise microgrooves without compromising its mechanical integrity is technically challenging. In this study, we applied inkjet printing, an additive manufacturing technique, create stable silk fibroin (SFMG) coatings various dimensions substrates. SFMG improved hydrophilicity showed good physical chemical stability. with 90 μm interval 10 depth was optimal promoting proliferation, alignment, extracellular matrix production human gingival fibroblasts (HGFs). A holistic biointegration of percutaneous bone-anchored metallic prostheses with both hard and soft tissues dictates their longevity in the human body. While titanium (Ti) has nearly solved osseointegration, tissue integration is a perennial problem. Unlike firm sealing biological structures (fingernails teeth), foreign body response skin to leads inflammation, epidermal downgrowth inferior peri-implant sealing. This review discusses various implant surface treatments/texturing coatings for integration, against bacterial attachment. microroughness by SLA (sandblasting large grit acid etched) porous calcium phosphate (CaP) improve Ti smooth textured titania nanopores, nanotubes, microgrooves, biomolecular encourage However, compared natural teeth can lead peri-implantitis. Toward this end, application smart multifunctional bioadhesives strong adhesion tissues, mechanical resilience, durability, antibacterial, immunomodulatory properties attachment proposed.

Implant therapy is a well-established clinical treatment, and porous implants are reported to be advantageous, which needs confirmed in vivo. In this study, we designed fabricated titanium with the same shape but different porosities (20 %, 30 40 50 respectively), produce elastic moduli based on results of finite element analysis (FEA). These devices were implanted into mandibular alveolar bone miniature swine, their survival rates, osseointegration, marginal loss evaluated one, three, six months after implantation. It was demonstrated that % porosity implants, had an modulus similar cortical bone, exhibited best rate (50 %) lowest resorption height (1.51 ± 0.33 mm), almost no inflammation attachment loss. vitro analyses indicated appropriate pore size conducive extension cellular communication cells, promotes host cell homing differentiation functions. Thus, dental determines success rate. Furthermore, matching patient advantageous terms postoperative loading integration.

Soft tissue integration (STI) around dental implants determines their long-term success, and the key is to immediately construct a temporary soft tissue-like barrier prevent bacterial invasion after implantation then, promote STI. In response this need, an injectable multi-crosslinked hydrogel (MCH) with abilities of self-healing, anti-swelling, degradability, dry/wet adhesion tissue/titanium developed using gallic acid-graft-chitosan, oxidized sodium alginate, gelatin, Cu2+ water borax solution as solvents, whose properties can be controlled by adjusting its composition ratio. MCH not only build sealing block in oral simulation environment but also deliver outstanding antibacterial efficacy through synergism trapping bacteria releasing bactericidal agents such chitosan, acid, aldehyde, Cu2+. Moreover, has adjustable ROS-scavenging ability imparted gelatin reduce inflammation control release Based on these, it believed that injecting (percutaneous/transmucosal) surgery, universal non-aggressive strategy STI for implant success.
