Icariin is the most bioactive ingredient of Epimedium L. and a quality marker Herba Epimedii. Conventional methods for production are known to be inefficient, resulting in low yields significant environmental pollution. This study aimed develop sustainable effective biphasic enzymatic hydrolysis system efficient conversion epimedin C icariin. The was created using butyl acetate phosphate buffer (pH 4.5) at ratio 3:1 (V/V) along with α-L-rhamnosidase/epimedin (2 U/1 mg) 50 °C 12 h. Consequently, 98.21% hydrolysed icariin, 95.62% product being transferred organic phase. Even after four cycles use, remained high 75.28%. Furthermore, this novel strategy also used brevicornu Maxim. extracts. represents method icariin production, offering potential benefits industrial applications.
