Curcuma wenyujin Y. H. Chen et C. Ling (C. wenyujin) is a medicinal plant widely used for clinical treatments. In this study, integrated omics data analyses enabled us to discover the microRNAs (miRNAs) and phased small interfering RNAs (phasiRNAs) on transcriptome-wide scale. A total of 186 mature miRNAs 23 precursors were reported. Besides, 31 14 families organ-specifically expressed, 13 these could perform organ-specific target regulation. More than 80% phasiRNA loci especially in tubers. some cases, phasiRNAs with distinct increments, but accordant expression patterns, generated from highly overlapped region, indicating that different machineries might be synchronously engaged processing. Based transcriptome assembly, 28 56 tuber-specific genes identified involved alkaloid terpenoid metabolisms, respectively. Analysis enzyme-coding β-elemene biosynthetic pathway showed downstream tuber-specific, while upstream not. We assumed precursor metabolites produced other organs delivered tubers final steps biosynthesis. Summarily, our report provided an atlas wenyujin, which serve as basis molecular studies organ development secondary metabolisms plant.

As a highly prevalent gastrointestinal malignant tumor, colorectal cancer poses serious challenge in terms of increasing morbidity and mortality late diagnosis due to the invisibility disease. Although existing therapies are diverse but limited efficacy, mechanism programmed cell death (PCD) has become focus research its central role maintaining body homeostasis regulating tumor progression. Multimodal pathways, such as apoptosis, autophagy, pyroptosis ferroptosis, have shown unique advantages inhibiting proliferation migration cells enhancing sensitivity chemotherapy by responding internal external environmental stimuli. In recent years, natural products risen prominence virtue their multi-target synergistic effects chemo-sensitizing properties, opened up new direction for treatment precisely PCD pathway. this paper, we searched PubMed, Web Science CNKI databases relevant studies last 10 years using keywords (Colorectal cancer) (programmed death) products. This work retrieved 59 (55 from past 5 4 years) reveal action targeting PCD, aiming provide theoretical support practical guidance optimization clinical therapeutic strategies development innovative drugs.

Immunotherapy has become a global focus in cancer treatment and research, with promising results from targeting immune checkpoints tumors like non-small cell lung cancer, colon melanoma. However, resistance to checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) remains significant challenge. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), known for its low toxicity minimal side effects, shows promise enhancing when combined modern therapies. This study reviews recent research on ICIs mechanisms highlights TCM's potential overcoming this resistance, aiming improve efficacy while minimizing toxicity.
