Ferroptosis, an iron-dependent form of regulated cell death driven by lipid peroxidation, plays a pivotal role in various physiological and pathological processes. In this review, we summarize the core mechanisms ferroptosis, emphasizing its intricate connections to metabolism, including fatty acid synthesis, phospholipid remodeling, oxidation dynamics. We further highlight advancements detection technologies, such as fluorescence imaging, lipidomics, vivo PET which have deepened our understanding ferroptotic regulation. Additionally, discuss ferroptosis human diseases, where it acts double-edged sword, contributing cancer while also driving ischemia-reperfusion injury neurodegeneration. Finally, explore therapeutic strategies aimed at either inducing or inhibiting iron chelation, antioxidant modulation, lipid-targeted interventions. By integrating mechanistic insights, disease relevance, potential, review provides comprehensive perspective on crucial interface between metabolism oxidative stress.

Background: This study aims to investigate the role of ferroptosis in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), a genetic disorder characterized by abnormal thickening heart muscle. The objective is identify differentially expressed genes associated with HCM and understand potential molecular mechanisms underlying disease. Methods: Comprehensive genomic analysis was conducted HCM. focused on TFRC, SCD, SLC2A1, EGR1, GDF15, SNCA, PLIN2, NQO1 as hub regulating ferroptosis. Functional enrichment performed uncover their involvement pathways such ferroptosis, ubiquinone biosynthesis, HIF-1 signaling. In addition, immune cell infiltration patterns were explored, associations between identified. Results: revealed involved regulation indicated contribution key related Furthermore, observed. Conclusion: provides valuable insights into basis identifying findings suggest development These contribute better understanding may pave way for targeted therapies improved diagnostic approaches this debilitating cardiac disorder.

The current study aimed to evaluate the relationship between intestinal bacteria and some blood parameters in cases of obesity Iraq. included 60 samples. Their ages ranged from both sexes (20-64) years (40) samples people suffering (Obesity Group) after confirming by measuring weight height extracting value Body Mass Index (BMI) (20) with ideal as a control group (Control Group). found that obese donors had decreased values mean red cell volume, packed hemoglobin, cells, while increased platelets, white neutrophils, lymphocytes. results showed alanine aminotransferase, aspartate alkaline phosphatase. It was also noted through there an increase number stool compared group.
