Frost mulberry leaves possess significant medicinal and nutritional values feature extensive resource availability convenient acquisition. The study investigated the physicochemical structure functional properties of frost leaf superfine powder (FMLSP) effects FMLSP on hypoglycemic activity gut microbiota type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) mice. results indicated that total flavonoid content reached 91.30 mg/g, with inhibitory both α-glucosidase α-amylase activities. Animal experimental data showed could significantly reduce insulin content, improve resistance, protect liver pancreatic tissues in T2DM Meanwhile, lipid metabolism, especially low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) mice was reduced by 76.22%. In addition, has excellent antioxidant effects, which greatly alleviated oxidative stress phenomenon mice, malondialdehyde (MDA) 72.17%. also restored diversity microbiota, increasing abundance beneficial bacteria such as Akkermansia, Lachnospiraceae_NK4A136_group, Alloprevotella, Lactobacillus decreasing harmful Rikenellaceae_RC9_gut_group, Enterorhabdus. These indicate may serve a potential dietary intervention for prevention treatment T2DM.
