ABSTRACT Chlamydomonas reinhardtii is a promising model microalga for recombinant molecules production. Nonetheless, low yield challenge its industrial use. This work investigated the influence of ammonium chloride (NH 4 Cl) concentration and temperature on growth transgenic C. expressing fluorescent protein mCherry laboratory scale. A Central Composite Rotatable Design was used to establish cultivation conditions. NH Cl concentrations ranging from 400 647.49 mg/L temperatures between 25°C 32.1°C resulted in maximum values cell fluorescence. Lower (15°C–17°C) were found be more suitable accumulation total soluble proteins. These results demonstrate that conditions can positively affect growth, with range used. Unlike genetic approaches, this study provides solution enhance both expression . findings pave way scaling up use as biofactory industry applied other microalgal systems.
